"We don't make keys.
We do however, hold the key to unlock endless opportunities and possibilities."

Key Club International

Key Club International is the oldest and largest student-led service organization in the world. Represented in 38 countries, with more than 5,300+ clubs chartered, alongside 270,000+ members, all the Key Clubs work together to make an international impact!

Our Mission Statement

Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

Our motto is "Caring - Our Way of Life," in not only our home, school, and community, but the whole world. It doesn't just end at Key Club in high school.

Our Core Values

Leadership, Character-building, Inclusiveness, & Caring.

  • Once you graduate from high school and Key Club and move onto college, you can always join what is known as Circle K or Kiwanis. Circle K and Kiwanis is similar to Key Club. It is best described as “the college version of Key Club” and "the adult version of Key Club" respectively. The same goals apply - to give back to the community and make an international impact.

Independence High School's Key Club was founded in October 2001, by Ms. Kathi Tran. Our mascot is Captain America and we are part of the Division 12 East Superheroes, Region 17, and the California-Nevada-Hawaii District. For the past 18 years, Independence Key Club has gained hundreds of members and has been a strong and active club. Independence Key Club's goal is to allow its members to build their home, school, and community, and make a difference in the world. We have completed a numerous amount of service projects every year to give back to our community and have contributed in making a change by hosting fundraisers for great causes. This year, 2019, marks the 18 Year Anniversary of leadership, dedication, and motivation.
